It is definitely awesome to have a staycation where there are countless activities to choose from. Of course, we love all the amenities that the hotels have to offer, but for a change, you would want to stay somewhere that’s not located in the midst of malls but smack in front of the beach. You’d actually find a lot of resorts in Sentosa, but Siloso Beach Resort would have to be the hotel that’s strategically situated at the beach where there are lots of restaurants and fun attractions (and most of them are free), plus, your stay here won’t break the bank 🙂
Siloso Beach Resort has always piqued my interest whenever I visit Sentosa — it would be worth it to have an overnight stay in the area because it’s difficult to maximize all the activities on a day trip. True that the borders have opened, but if you want to save the hassle and cost of having PCR/antigen tests and other required protocols and at the same time, have that beach vibe, this resort is for you.
Room Rates
Cheapest room could go as low as S$141.24 if you book directly under the Superior Room Weekday Promotion (other promotions could be seen here). We stayed at the Deluxe Room at 6th floor which offers a great view of the pool. The room is also quite spacious that we are able to have a surprise birthday celebration for the husband. Other room types such as suites and villas are available here.

Amenities
The highlight of the resort would be its amazing 85m pool which is the longest landscape pool in Singapore. All these lush greeneries gives you that Balinese vibe and it’s also interesting to note that pool contains natural spring water which comes from the hill’s underground reserve. There is a small pool with slides for kids (but adults are also welcome) to enjoy and a jacuzzi on the other side. Siloso Beach Resort also has an indoor gym, conference facilities and self-service laundry.

Sustainability
I prefer to stay in eco-hotels because they take great effort to promote sustainability and it’s good to know that SBR isn’t new to this game — they have received recognitions such as the President’s Award for the Environment, the Watermark Honorary Award and the ASEAN Business Awards (CSR Category). Taking green initiatives seriously, the resort also boasts its rooftop nursery, wormery and open air corridors.

Breakfast
The breakfast, although relatively simple, tasted really nice. My husband loved the pancakes and I enjoyed the fluffy moist scrambled eggs, fresh salad and pain au chocolat. They also served yogurt, mashed potato, sausages and fresh fruits.

Exploring Sentosa
There are three beaches in Sentosa where you can soak in the sun and chill for free, each has its own distinct charm. As mentioned earlier, the resort sits in front of Siloso beach which is most famous for the adrenaline junkies. To a name a few, there’s bungee jumping and giant swing at AJ Hackett, indoor skydiving at iFly and zip-line at Mega Adventure Park. On the other hand, Palawan beach is more for family bonding. I’ve brought a lot of my visiting friends and relatives here because you’ll be able to reach the Southernmost Point of Continental Asia. Then there’s the Tanjong beach which is well-loved by the adults and is known for its fab hangouts such as Tanjong Beach Club and FOC Sentosa.
Imbiah Trail
As for us, we’ve decided to go somewhere a little off-the beaten track and explored the picturesque Imbiah trail (2.2 mile loop that’s near SBR) after having breakfast. It was so great to finally have this mini hike in the morning because I know that I’ll never be able to do this had I not taken staycation (since we stay in the east area). If you’re into scenic nature walks, then you should definitely see this hidden gem. You can refer to this link for Imbiah trail guide.
Scentopia
If you’re into perfumes and would like to experience making your own, try Scentopia, which is a newly-opened attraction that’s luckily in front of Siloso Beach Resort. Aside from perfume making, you can also create your own scented candles, room fragrances, bath oils and many more. It also offers a 10-15 minute interactive guided tour for minimum of 15 persons in a group.
I could go on and on about Sentosa activites because the list doesn’t end and new activities are being added regularly. It is an island that caters for everyone and should you feel that time is not enough, the accessible and budget-friendly Siloso Beach Resort awaits you.
